Liza Minelli avec Joel Grey (sashkka)

"CABARET" which was originally a musical, is a very interesting movie. The characters, the setting, the ambiance are just amazing. Liza Minelli's voice and acting is remarkable, not to tell Joel Grey's theatrical skills and talent. This song "Money makes the world go round..." is just so ludic and ironic within the context of the movie. The combination of art, romance, politics within a NAzi Germany creates a weird contrast and shows a very different perspective (not at all cliche) from other movies having the nazi theme as background. Each time I watch this movie (I have watched it 1000 times) I see different details. A very poetic creation indeed. I am not so keen on musicals but in this movie each song is so significant and well chained within the plot that it makes it really cool to see. Funny moment:"DOes my body drives you wild in desire?" A classic and a must see, of course if you like bizarre repertoire movies.
